This is my third electric, I have learned a lot! Built for fun and function. Update 10-07 done! Runs well and is pretty quick, modifications to contactors done to reduce resistance in contacts. Added lighting and limiting switch to reduce current to motor unless peak power needed, will save motor from overheating and battery life. limits speed to 21 mph. changed gearing for better acceleration and less top end, motor seems to run cooler now. Batteries are getting weak 1/14, update 10/21 AGM still running! I have some extra lithium cells that I am going to retrofit into the existing battery areas. Weight should go down 150 pounds. DC/DC to be installed for BMS and lighting. |
