A note from John Wayland.
"The long range Red Beastie was created by Dick Finley. I was involved in the project from the beginning, and honored that he asked me to complete it when he became too ill to do it himself. Dick was 78 when he passed away in the Fall of '97. He was a radical EVer always pushing the envelope and a friend I'll never forget."

A note from Tony:
The Red Beastie was destroyed in an unrelated structure fire in 2006. Motor and transmission were salvaged and are going to be used to recreate another Red Beastie.
