Compared with the standard Oxygen moped, which is sadly now out of production, the Oxygen Cargo is a much heavier and less pleasant ride. The riding position is much higher. Due to the increased weight and bulk of the larger batteries it is not so nippy or manoeuvrable. My own Cargo moped has a much reduced range after just 2,000 miles on the clock, although this could partly be due to the cold weather in the north of Scotland. The following information is sales blurb from a now defunked dealer: The Oxygen Cargo represents a quiet and clean revolution in transporting goods around our choked-up towns and cities. It has a range of more than 50 miles, it's quick and completely silent. Based on the Oxygen, the Cargo has been tailored to answer the demands of the modern, caring courier company. What's good for the environment is good for the image too. And with incredibly low running costs, this machine will keep the business bean counters happy. Domino's Pizza was so impressed with the Oxygen Cargo, they ordered 150 for its Amsterdam branch, but only after the scooter had undergone extensive and exhaustive testing. The Cargo's battery pack is guaranteed for 6,000 miles. Load carrying capacity is 100 kg with the optional cargo box. |
