Car (without batteries) was purchased during spring 2016 from car dealer in Germany. It was not in best shape at the time of arrival, so some time has been spent in fixing it. Odometer was on 25828km at the time of purchase. 2019 July - Since I'm unable to activate built-in BMS in battery modules, I had to manually balance battery packs after 3 years of use. I simply connected all 5 modules in parallel and charged them to 32.6 V. Surprisingly, batteries within modules are all within 5 mV 2021 July - Due to need for longer range, battery pack has been upgraded to 80 Li-Tec 50Ah cells coming from scrapped electric smart, which gives 14.4kWh nominal capacity. Pack is divided in two parts, 9S2P in front box and 31S2P in the rear box. Two separate Ant BMS boards (purchased on AliExpress) are monitoring and balansing cells. |
