sprockets - almost silent operation. Make sure wheels are well trued and bearings well lubed. I use axles with replacable SKF ball bearings. Measured cost to run - 80 cents Canadian (the price of 1 litre of gasoline) for the electricity to ride 478 miles (770 kilometers). I rode this bike 1225 miles (1972 kms) last year. This cost about $2.39 Canadian for electricity and taxes versus $248.00 of gasoline to run my pickup truck a similar distance - real world short runs to the supermarket or such. They`re going to bury me with this smile!! |
