I purchased the bike a few years ago but quickly got sick of
the unreliable 2-stroke engine, so decided to convert it to
electric. It was intended as a toy and occasional commuter
vehicle so I set out with fairly modest performance goals:
similar acceleration to the original, and whatever battery size
would be easy to fit.

A secondary goal for the motorbike project was as a demo
vehicle for some of my new ZEVA products including updated
motor controller with CAN bus, and the new Electric Vehicle
Management System (EVMS).

I've written up the project including lots of pictures,
available at the Web Page link near the top of this page.
