Vehicle | Electra Townie 21D This is one great looking and sprightly, yet comfortable, electric cruiser bicycle equipped with a geared hub motor. The eTownie is a very fun and stable eBike which feels and rides just right at all speeds up to about 25mph top. The eTownie has that great SoCal cruiser look, not that battery behind the seat post or step thru, made in China look. This is one strong cool looking electric bike that will provide years of service and get you out of your car for local trips. I ride it all around town now instead of my car. I experimented with the battery placement and have returned to the original under the bottom bracket location. I know some of you will not like the battery placement. I have driven it for months now and have not experienced any negative results. While I do not ride in the rain it stays relatively clean and the very low center of gravity works well for a relatively slow speed electric town bicycle. I love the Thudbuster seat post! The bike has a Cycle Analyst which I find invaluable to check the state of charge. I can monitor in real time the battery voltage, the amp draw, and the watt-hours of a trip. |
