This is a production pedal and electric vehicle, produced in England in 1984. To use it, you pedal it up to a few miles an hour, then press the "go" switch on the handlebars and the motor starts. The frame is lightweight steel, the body is injection molded plastic. It's great for quick trips to the grocery store (it's "trunk" holds a large bag of groceries), but not too comfortable for long trips. They are common in Great Britain and parts of Europe, but rare here in the U.S. The photo shows my 5'6" son riding it. I'm 6'2" and still comfortable riding it. It's hard to go anywhere with this vehicle without having several people ask about it. This vehicle was sold in 2012. |
