My 30 mile trip in San Francisco was fantastic.........I did 26miles on one charge..... conserved power as much as possible but used full power on hills..........My first major ride in general, I started in Sausalito on the waterfront........crossed the bridge and then down(west) through Lincoln Memorial and 25th Av...........down Geary to the Cliff House and along Great Highway, along Lake Merced and up to Daly City BART...... I went to S.S.F. on Bart and then to Montgomery/Embarcedero downtown where I rode the other waterfront back over the Bridge into Sausalito........ I charged some in S.S.F........went dead on the hump of the G.G. Bridge the rest was mostly downhill....... Weather was perfect, can't wait to do it again........... Meanwhile in my small town I am 2-3 miles from town, mostly flat(all flat compared to S.F.).............I tend to just cruise full speed with little pedaling and I can pull off 1/2 hour shopping trips............ Point is, this bike is very versatile and serves many needs........plus it's cheaper than a Prius! |
