Vehicle | 1996 Honda Integra I will be converting this car to all electric drive. The car was bought from a friend at a good price. Motor is at the end of its life having done 290,000 km and blowing a bit of smoke. The body, however, is still in good condition. |
Motor | Netgain Warp 9 Series Wound DC Hopefully I can fit a Warp 9 under the bonnet. If not I'll fall back on a ADC FB1-4001. |
Drivetrain | Electric motor will be coupled to 5sp gearbox probably retaining the clutch. |
Controller | Cafe Electric Z1K-LV I've got this on pre-order. Shouldn't be too far off now. |
Batteries | 45 CALB/Skyenergy SE180AHA, 3.20 Volt, Lithium-Ion |
System Voltage | 144 Volts |
Charger | Manzanita Micro PFC-30M 30A model with AC current meter to allow charging on Aussie 10A, 15A, 20A or the 32A industrial outlet I'll be installing in my garage. |
Heater | 4kw fluid heater. This will heat and pump coolant (as in radiator fluid) at 70C through the existing heater core. It will use 4kw via the HV line originally but then drop off in power to maintain 70C. |
DC/DC Converter | Undecided. Possibly an IOTA 55A. |
Instrumentation | High Voltage Cycle Analyst from ebikes.ca |
Top Speed | 75 MPH (120 KPH) Unsure. Hoping for at least 120km/h |
Acceleration | Unsure. Aiming for sub 10sec 0-100km/h |
Range | 93 Miles (149 Kilometers) Aiming for 150km range. |
Watt Hours/Mile | Unsure. |
Seating Capacity | 2 adults |
Curb Weight | 0 I need to keep it under 1320kg keep it legal. It will be strictly a 2 seater. |
Tires | Michellin Energy XM1+ 195/65R14 Low Rolling Resistance tyres. |
Conversion Time | Lots of research and time spent ordering parts. Very little time spend on the actual car so far. |
Conversion Cost | >AU$25,000 |
