This vehicle was, (almost) a daily commuter in Phoenix rush hour traffic. 50-60 minutes each way, 44 mile round trip with 28 or 30 traffic lights, (depended on the route). The Curtis controller was mounted upside down through the hood with a heatsink and sun-hat. And yes, it had a 900W 120V ceramic element in the heater to defog the windows, but not for heat. My favorite comment was from a young couple alongside me at a stoplight when He asked, "Is it really Electric?" When I said "yes it is", his response was... "Wow, that's really cool!" |
