Conversion Time"and the years go by ..." - actually just 1 - though it's definitely NOT the 'same as it ever was'
Conversion Cost$10k for used kitcar (already assembled); $5k for motor/controller/batteries/charger;
$1500 wire, bat. boxes and misc. parts; 1 yr. steady part time labor (hired) - $10-$15k to cut and paste, undo bad old vw wiring, etc.

would do from scratch with a tube chassis if again (1200 lb. glider one Speedster shop claimed), and batteries would fit better - 15 are all I could fit in. May go to a 15 x 8 volt (Discover EV?), 120 volt battery system in the future. May be willing to sell later this spring/summer.
