Batteries | 88, 3.70 Volt, 16-kilowatt-hour (58 MJ) lithium-ion battery pack consists of 88 cells placed under the base floor. The pack has 22 cell modules connected in series at a nominal voltage of 330 V. There are two 4-cell modules placed vertically at the center of the pack and ten 8-cell modules placed horizontally. Developed by Mitsubishi and GS Yuasa for both high specific energy and high rate discharge and manufactured by Lithium Energy Japan, a joint venture of GS Yuasa Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. The entire pack has a specific energy of 80 Wh/kg | ||

Getting the most out of a electric car with 16 KWh's is easy when your within range of the only level 3 charger in Ontario. I live 72 Kilometers away (45 miles)from it. its located at 2090 Matheson Blvd, Mississauga Ontario (Mitsubishi national headquarters) its free to charge there and I have done so quite a bit. I think its such a great way to get the most out of your ev. Once I put 400 Km on the imiev in one day! That must be a record. I am planning to convert my truck and I am going to use the same pack voltage as my iMiev and incorporate a level 3 charge port. I wonder if my iMiev battery is low and my Truck is fully charged and I made up a high power charging interface with two CHAdeMO connectors and plugged both vehicles together, how much power would be transferred? paralleling both battery packs dc-dc I am planning to put 85 KWh's of lithium batteries in the truck. |
