The power steering is optional and is controlled by the handy lever on the column that once controlled the stock Cruise Control. Almost all normal braking is done with the aggressive, hand controlled regenerative brake ,the stock 4 wheel disc brake system is vacuum pump assisted for panic stops. Special thanks to Victor Tikonov at MetricMind Engineering WebPage for much hand-holding and coaching through out the conversion ordeal.
