I didn't realize when I undertook the project that our laws aren't really ready for EV bikes (Madison, Wisconsin, USA). The only place it's legal for me to ride is in the traffic lanes with the cars. That wouldn't be bad if I could achieve more than 18 MPH. I'm not allowed in bike lanes or on bike trails. I also feel weird in the parking ramp at work. Should I park in the bike section or the motorcycle section? I get strange looks in both. Regardless, I love my EV bike! I just keep to the side streets. |
