Conversion Cost | $1000 for the scoot and counting....o_O
Additional Features | Using the old fuel valve hole for the emergency stop switch, using a rear rack to mount the spare tire to keep somewhat of a classic Vespa look; replacing all of the stock trim out with chrome trim; changing out front drum brake to disc brake; custom swing/torque arm being fabricated and engineered by Rick Goodwin of Cmikimoto in North Bend, WA.; high performance SIP shocks; changing rear taillight to Euro style taillight; LEDs for lighting, patching of holes in body that are no longer needed ie. foot brake, choke, etc.; and a new paint job....at least that's it for now =)
First and foremost, I thank God for allowing me the opportunity, ability and courage to undertake this project! Thanks to my wife Patricia for her encouraging words (and snide comments!) Currently the scoot is under massive surgery, it has been a blast so far trying to figure out the best places to mount the batteries and all of the other goodies that are needed, and now that the plans are in place and the scoot is stripped, time for some fabrication, a little body work and a lot more good times! |
