A bigish 17 ah battery runs the lights, indicators etc. This is charged with an "opitimate" unit when the traction batteries are being charged. The DVM is connected to all the batteries through a switch box, I can then measure each individual battery or the total six-pack. The ammeter is a moving iron 25 Amps with a shunt I made out of a bit of brass to give 100 Amsp or 250 Amps FSD, depending on which bit of brass I bolt on. I will think about bringing the wieght down and making it a bit slimmer My workplace allows me to charge during the day, for free!!! |
