This is a very simple vehicle, driven by a single 12 Volt DC series type motor with only a simple resistor based controller. A startup resistor allows smooth acceleration from a stop then is bypassed for full speed. This vehicle is intended to be an ultra light low cost urban vehicle with a range of 50 km, something like a bicycle. It is built on the basis of reinforced bicycle frame and it is so simple to produce that it can be made in any bicycle workshop, and yet still be very useful. All my fellow citizens were delighted. This is still a prototype version, for example I need front forks with springs, shock absorbers or dampers, as I did not have enough money to buy them for this project. I have also made drawings for a version with the larger wheels from a mountain bike, and also one with smaller wheels, and they are very interesting. |
